One year more, it's time to get ready for the View Conference And View Fest!!
First of all, here are the final dates for the 2012 edition:
16 – 19 Oct | VIEW Conference, 13th International Computer Graphics Conference
19 – 21 Oct | VIEWFest, Digital Movie Festival
In case you don't know, the VIEW Conference is an international event in Italy on Computer Graphics, Interactive Techniques, Digital Cinema, 3D Animation, Gaming and VFX. As in the last editions, the event will continue to focus on exploring the increasingly fluid boundary between real and digital worlds. Through lectures, meetings, tributes, exhibits, screenings and demo presentations VIEW will reveal the new digital frontier sweeping from cinema to architecture, from automotive design to advertisement, from medicine to videogames. A part from that, you still have time to apply to their contests which are:
VIEW Social ContestAnimated Short Competition with 3D animation and VFX that deal with social and current issues.
Deadline to submit is June 30th 2012
VIEW Award 2012 World Wide Short Competition Using 3D Animation and VFX.
Deadline for submissions: 15 Sept 2012
ITALIANMIX 2012 Contest of short movies realized by Italian or Foreign film-makers, having as their topic Italy or Italian subjects. The selected works will be included in the screening program of the VIEWFest in Turin and will be part of the ‘best of ITALIANMIX DVD’.

Finally! Here we have the first rendered image of Brave, the next Pixar film opening in cinemas on July 22nd 2012.
It seems that a trailer of Brave will be attached to Cars 2 when that one is released next June, so this image would have been taken from there.
Apart of that, I found a very interesting interview with the ex-director of the film, Brenda Chapman, talking about the women's role in the industry. Remember Chapman was removed from directing just little time before Tangled's premiere, and the oficial reason was " creative differences". However she is still bound to Pixar and she'll appear on
the credits as one of the directors. That make a lot of people think it's because of the contract she might signed with Pixar.

First of all I apologize for this delay posting news but I´m having such a hard time at work and I can hardly keep the pace.
Anyway, here we have an exciting stuff! Finally they´re starting to show more material of the incoming film of Tintin.
Remember that behind this piece are Spielberg and Peter Jackson controlling the show, which always is a guarantee of quality.
This time they come up with a realistic version of the comic character, with a mocap technic already used in Avatar.
The film is set to be released in the UK next October 28th.

After the announcement of "The Amazing World of Gumball" being the first series from Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe to be brought to the states, now the same studio show us six lovely shortfilms with a possibility of develop one of them into a series. Here you can watch three of them.

To coincide with the British Royal Wedding of this weekend, Pixar released last week a sneak peek of Cars 2.
After having introduced to us the characters of the Queen and The Prince, here we have a clip where of the film
where Mater is invited to the Royal event.
Remember that Cars 2 is going to hit Usa cinemas on June 24th and UK ones on July 22th.

The MTV website has just released the first clip of the upcoming Dreamworks animation film "Kung Fu Panda 2"
Remember, the film is set to open on May 26th.
Also you can see the image of Po advertising the nutrionital benefits of Tofu. That's it. Kung Fu Panda has become the first animated film to promote Tofu as a healthy food for everyone. That's marketing!

Just like you read. Pixar decided to speed up and delight us with tons of new material for Cars 2!.
Let´s go per parts:
A few more characters, the British ones. The Queen, the prince, a soldier, a taxi and a bus.
After that, 2 more retro posters of London, as cool as always.
If that wasn´t enough, a progression go through of a shot, showing us several stages of the production as they already did with Toy Story 3.
And Finally... TONS of new concept arts and character development images. I´ll just put here some of the most spectacular, but you can see the rest in here: http://www.stitchkingdom.com/

So here we go this week again with new characters,a Japanese ones this time.
- Two sumo wrestlers from Tokyo: Kingpin Nobunga and Pinion Tanaka.
- Okuni, a kabuki dancer
- Zen Master in the art of the rock zen garden.
Then, three more retro posters!
And finally, we have a new triptych banner of the film showing all the locations wew'll se in the film!

This hand- painted film is directed by Jacques-Remy Girerd and now is about to be released in USA.
With the talent voices for the English dubbed version of John DiMaggio, Whoopi Goldberg, Matthew Modine, Wallace Shawn, James Woods and Amanda Misquez , "Mia and the Magoo will debut next 22nd of April.
