First look at "The Lorax"
Although this piece of news was published around October, I haven´t heard about it from no place.
This image belongs to the next Universal animated film called "The Lorax".
As it happened with "Horton" made by BlueSky Studios, "The Lorax" is an adaptation from the book Dr. Seuss wrote with the same name, in 1971.
Chris Meledrandi, producer of Horton, is playing the same rol in this production. This time, with his Universal family division called "Ilumination Entertaiment". This division was the one which brought us Despicable Me. And, as it happened with this one, the animation is being done again at Mac Guff Ligne Studios, in France.

Acting in "Rango"
Here we have a video of Johnny Deep talking about the "special technique" ILM has used to capture the performance of the actors...Actually is the same thing we animators do all the time, to record the preformance and use it as a reference instead of just copy what we see. Although you´ll see that the final expressions of the characters has very little to do with the recorded ones from the actors. But it´s funny. Take a look.

Studio Ghibli Keeps going
Although it´s been said lately that Miayazaki´s studio is thinking about closing its doors after its next movie "The Borrower Arrietty", it´s been reported that there's at least another one to come, directed again by Miyazaki´s son, Goro, who directed also "Tales of Earthsea". If we add this to the announcement months ago about a possible second part of "Porco Rosso", that would mean we have Guibli´s stuff for at least one or two years more.

New Trailer of Rango
Release date: March 4th, 2011
A new trailer with new footage of Rango has been released. We remember this is the first movie totally animated at ILM (Industrial Light & Magic). Is a western where all the characters are animals, having a charmeleon with the voice of Johnny Deep as a main character, suffering some kind of identity crisis. It definitely looks amazing, and very interesting if we compare it with the rest of animated films. I don´t think is going to dissappoint us.
